This would potentially suit a young, active, motivated nanny that understands that a significant part of the role comprises organising, cleaning and cooking and to be willing to following my pattern and style of parenting rather than imposing their own. In lieu of live in references, if a previous nursery nurse I would accept a reference from a nursery if in post >2 years.
We are a very friendly and relaxed family. I am solo parent to my 6 year old son Jonathan. As per last school report he is a “polite, friendly and well mannered little boy.” He has no paternal contact so ability to form a good bond is essential. He is at school in Bexhill 15-20 minutes away from our home. I am an anaesthetist / ICU doctor working full time in a shift post at the local hospital. No move from the area in future is anticipated as we are fully settled. My mother currently lives with us whilst her own home nearby is renovated.
Gross pay via payroll company monthly: £34 000 per annum
5 days per week termtime and weeks where Jonathan is at holiday activity
4 days a week in holidays inc half terms
48h weekly + 1 overnight + 4h babysitting and in addition 1:8 weeks Full 24h sole care Monday to Friday
Double bedroom with balcony and own separate bathroom whilst in current residence (no house move currently foreseen but cannot guarantee own bathroom and balcony
Use of car (fully insured and RAC cover) 24/7 except in exceptional circumstances; petrol costs to be covered by employee if used on days off
Cleaning, organising and Cooking form a significant component of the role. This includes pet care. A cleaner attends weekly for 5h deep cleaning.
Bank holidays will typically be worked, hours as per holiday daytime 0730-1930, sole care. A weekday off in lieu will be provided, within the same or the following week if possible. Each bank holiday counts as an annual leave day as per statutory employer obligations.
Annual leave: 28 days annually NB FIXED ALLOCATED DATES due to nature of employer’s fixed rota
· 10 days to be given in a 2 week block during termtime determined by the employer
· 5 days to be taken at Christmas time, inclusive of Christmas and boxing day bank holidays.
· 7 bank holidays = 7 days Annual leave, however please note the day will typically be taken in lieu as per bank holiday rules above.
· 6 days annual leave will be taken as discrete days throughout the year and during termtime
